Nadiya Hussain

Pugmark was the official local host for the BBC film Chronicles of Nadiya. Broadcasted on BBC One in August 2016. It is a film about Nadiya Hussain, the Great British Back Off Champion 2015, and her passion for food.

For this 2 episode series Nadiya came to Bangladesh for 2 weeks accompanied by the BBC film crew. The first episode was shoot in and around Nadiya’s village and nearby town while the 2nd episode was filmed in different places in Bangladesh.

On the end of the journey Nadiya was on board Bawali for 2 days. 3 sequences was shot in those 2 days. The otter fishing, Cooking BBQ chicken with satkora with the otter fisherman’s wife and Nadiya’s special dal. The last sequence was shot on the roof of Bawali in a open kitchen. During the filming a number of Ganges river dolphin was surfacing on the background. She was absolutely delighted.
